BOOK CLUB
In other news, our Stargazer Book Club is going great. Ten 5th grade students were chosen by their teachers to participate in this after school program. The book club meets each month to discuss the assigned book. We have already read the historical fiction novel, Snow Treasure and Jerry Spinelli's Crash. This next month is a free choice and the readers will come ready to discuss their favorite characters, the plot and tell us why we should or shouldn't read it. Our final novel is by Roald Dahl, Matilda. The discussions range from bravery to peer pressure to dealing with life's emotions. It has been a fun club so far.
